Abstract: | The horse has been man’s companion for a long period of time. It has been used for work, for sport, for pleasure and leisure, and on the battlefield. British people are well-known for their respect for horses and the pleasure they take in riding them. It is no wonder that idioms referring to horses are so numerous in the English language. |
