Abstract: | [Meaning modification of some components as a result of the syntactic influence] Meaning modification of some components of stable polylexical units (SPU) is due to semantic, syntactic and phonetic influence. This study investigates the influence of syntactic links that changes some meanings of the UPS components. Syntactic influence is made topical by: contagion (influence of syntactic relations) and by ellipse (loss of these relations). Referring to the phenomenon of compression of the expression plan, we affirm that the denomination units occur in the syntagmatic plan of the language. Often in the „logical sentence”, the sign has an „analytic character”, which can be transformed into an attributive phrase which, finally, obtains only one word. Denominative syntaxes are dynamic lexical units. The derivative does not result only from attachment of the affix to the radical, but is often the result of a judgment or of a combination of words. The ellipse is very important for the UPS formation. In ethical plan, elliptical UPS are formed by eliminating lexical components from stable word combinations. Consequently, their structure is simplified. The words that are both in preposition and in postposition can be eliminated. |
