Abstract:Our research paper is focused on Romanian medical terminology and the analysis tries to emphasize morpho-lexical level from a linguistic point of view. A larger number of derived or compound medical terms have already been borrowed from different languages, a lesser part being the result of internal ways of structural terms formation. Our methodological approach would exemplify derivative and back formation as means of medical terms structures.
Key words:medical terms, derivation, back formation, borrowings, internal structures
