Abstract:The aim of this article is to distinguish between different types of expressions inspired by the Bible also by the Christian Orthodox religious cult. Can be distinguished as follows: genuine biblical phrases that have a clear link with the canonical text of the Bible (Noah’s Ark), apocyphal phrases from apocryphal popular legends (Adam’s apple) and expressions that refer to religious practices and dogmas of the Christian cult (to know something like the Our Father).
