Dans cette contribution, nous nous proposons d’analyser l’utilisation du chat dans une étude unissant quatre universités géographiquement éloignées. Des étudiants d’économie et de gestion en cours d’acquisition du français ont réalisé un projet commun en langue de spécialité. La finalité de cette étude réside dans un premier temps dans la détection de manques ou faiblesses en langue de spécialité afin dans un deuxième temps de concevoir et réaliser un programme de remédiation. La distance géographique a imposé l’usage de deux outils de communication numériques : le mél et le chat. Au-delà de l’analyse des compétences disciplinaires des participants au chat, d’autres aspects sont à prendre en compte comme les différents types de communication, l’interculturalité ou le cadre pédagogique afin de proposer des pistes de didactisation.
In this paper, we are going to analyse the use of chat in a study from four universities, geographically situated in different regions. Business and management students who are still studying French carried out a common project in their first foreign language - French. The aim of this research was the detection of shortcomings or weaknesses in their first foreign language and then to create and apply an improved learning programme. The geographic distance imposed the use of two computer communication tools : e-mails and chat. Beyond the analysis of the disciplinary proficiency of the chat users, other aspects have to be taken into account such as different types of communication, interculturality or a new pedagogical framework in order to propose some new didactic tracks.
