| Abstract: | In my article I intend to prove that the use of the students’ mother tongue in teaching a foreign language is essential, in spite of the modern tendency which tries to emphasize only the importance of the communicative competence. Based on some tests that I have conducted on my students I will demonstrate that the students who benefited from the use of the mother tongue had better results than the ones who were deprived of it. |
