Abstract: | This paper aims at presenting a new perspective of the journey and at the same time a brief psychology of the journey, illustrated in Noces à Tipassa, written by Albert Camus. At the same time, after having given a short definition of the key-words in the text, namely “journey”, “landscape” the analysis points out some conceptual characteristics of the landscape and of the traveller in Plesu’s Pituresque and melancholy. The experience of the landscape is not a physical one, but metaphysical, the individual conscience being confronted with something that is different and other. The purpose of the journey at both writers is not only discovering new landscapes, as picturesque as they can be and discovering the other’s world, but also relating it. |
