Abstract: | The study develops the idea according to which the social, political and economic history of countries was not as isolated as commonly thought – even during the Middle Ages – and the process of globalisation had begun many centuries before the birth of the term itself. More than the actual history of the peoples, the aspect that has evolved the most was the international character of research: an event or a person that belonged to a certain historical and geographical context generated interest for researchers throughout the world. Several researchers have proven this fact using the example of the Romanian prince Vlad Țepes (Vlad the Impaler), known as “Dracula”. |
