Abstract: | The following essay is about the great time in the novel Rote Handschuhe written by Eginald Schlattner. The main character is being imprisoned by the Romanian securitate, where he has to fight against time. The past, the present and the future flow into each other so that nobody can tell them apart. It is all about surviving no matter what. The survival instinct dictates all actions and thoughts. Nevertheless it is the time that governs our lives. |
