| Abstract: | This paper presents some examples of religious expression in Aichelburg’s work. Lifestyle and arts played an important role in overcoming years of imprisonment when younger and stronger people were dying around him, but they did not mean everything. Aichelburg’s secret which supported his fight for survival was faith. Starting from Aichelburg’s statement of faith, I tried to find some religious connotations reflected in his poems and I discovered that, although he did not actually focus on religion, he subtly and masterfully used several significant biblical elements. |
