Abstract: | This paper consists of a succession of four case studies on autobiographical and fictional novels. We have chosen modern and contemporary Romanian authors. Our purpose was to analyse how male and female stereotypes are reflected in the literature that explores the childhood. We were interested in how stereotypes influence this type of literature and how the literature breaks them and works on people’s mentality. |
