| Abstract: | Globalization is to be related nowadays to the whole process of discovering your partner, his/her cultural identity. A dialogue does not only involve individuals, but also the communities they belong to. Thus, we can speak about a dialogue of civilizations. Getting to know your partner means understanding his/her culture and way of life. We study alterity in relation to the immigration experience. We think there are different stages of developing alterity when it comes to adapting to a new linguistic environment. |
