Abstract: | The study focuses on the poetics of the Romanian literary generation of the 80s, by dwelling on two main points of debate: on the one hand, the influence that theoretical paradigms of structuralism and semiotics exerted upon the imaginary of the young writers; on the other hand, the discrepancies of literary criticism’s attempts to grasp the specifics of that new poetics. A basic argument of the study is that, in spite of the various critical positions and methods applied to their work, Romanian writers of the 80s eventually acted as their own best commentators. |
