Abstract: | Lexical ambiguity is perhaps one of the main causes of linguistic confusion in translating texts between two genetically related languages. Polysemantic words can have a bilateral correspondence in both languages, but often this is not the case, so their translation depends mostly on the context, i. e. the syntagmatic relations with other words. Our paper aims to present two different situations that illustrate the behavior of polysemantic words in translation. |
