Abstract:Although it has developed independently only since the 20th century, the Terminology of Pedology is interesting for both the field of Terminology and Linguistics, as well as for the translation/equivalence of terms in various languages. This is the statement our study starts from. The relationship between common language and specialized language, special conceptualization patterns used as equivalance methods are some of the topics that our study proposes to tackle from a contrastive perspective. The Terminology of Pedology is highly interdisciplinary, encompassing the fields of Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Geology, etc. It is another aspect that offers pertinent conclusions referring to the role of the fundamental disciplines in the constitution of connected disciplines, the dynamics of specialized senses in use. Researching the synchronic dynamics of the central shpere and marginal spheres of the language of Pedology is a necessary condition for the in-depth knowledge of the strongly inter-dependent relationships between Terminology and Linguistics.
