Abstract:With the action–oriented approach, the CECR sees communication as an action where the speaker is regarded as a social actor. Our paper presents a learning-scenario organized around tasks involving Chinese students in the discovery of the city to make them actors of their language learning in an authentic communicative situation which appears to us essential to the university to raise their motivation, their involvement and progress towards independence. This approach shows how learners acquire the language and cultural skills necessary for to be integrated and also provides an opportunity to reflect on the different role of the teacher.
