| Rezumat: | [Conventional and unconventional elements in several etymological, semiotic, semantic and morphosyntactic particularities of names of persons in Romanian] Romanian is a Romance language characterised by numerous particularities that distinguish it from the other Romance languages. Some of the particular features of this Romance language are the etymological, semiotic, semantic, and morphosyntactic particularities of proper names, which have significant consequences reflected in literary language and can be explained from a grammatical standpoint. This paper aims to highlight the reason why naming particularities are extremely interesting in Romanian from the etymological, semiotic, semantic and morphosyntactic point of view, by presenting an overview of the issue in question and by pointing out the main lines of analysis of proper nouns – names of persons. The purpose is to demonstrate the importance of such research findings, as well as to emphasise the conventional/unconventional elements of the theory and practice of proper nouns – names of persons. Thus, we will refer to the semantic particularities of naming, in general, and of naming in Romanian, in particular, and then we will detail the conventional and unconventional aspects reflected especially in Romanian morphology and syntax. We want to highlight in this paper how the grammatical particularities of naming in Romanian contributes to the semantic, stylistic, morphological and syntactic richness of this language, as well as to its distinctiveness from the other Romance languages. |
