  • Selon le Cadre de Référence pour les Approches Plurielles des Langues et des Cultures (CARAP) version 2012, l’enseignement des langues étrangères se doit de passer par la mise en avant des similitudes existantes entre les langues. La ressemblance lexicale en est un volet qui se prête ainsi aisément à l’exploitation didactique, permettant l’établissement de tout un réseau de liens interlinguistiques. Voué à se constituer dans une base solide de transferts inter-langues, ce réseau facilitera l’acquisition des langues étrangères en question, devenant par là même un stimulus d’apprentissage. Dans cet article nous nous proposons de saisir les moyens d’exploitation didactique de l’origine romane commune aux lexiques français et anglais. En faisant découvrir à ses élèves que les apprentissages linguistiques s’épaulent réciproquement, l’enseignant de FLE sensibilisera ses élèves aux pratiques de réinvestissement des savoirs lexicaux d’une langue à l’autre.
  • According to the Framework of Reference for Pluralistic Approaches to Languages and Cultures, 2012, the activity of teaching foreign languages should rely on highlighting the already-existing relations between languages. Lexical resemblance is one component of the interlinguistic relations which lends itself to didactic exploitation by giving rise to a network of links established across languages, acting as a language acquisition facilitator. Meant thus to become a solid basis of interlanguage transfers, the above-mentioned network can be used by the FFL teacher as a motivational incentive for his students in acquiring a plurilingual competence. This paper is aimed at identifying the modalities in which the common Roman origin of the French and the English lexis can be made most of in the French class. Making his students become aware of the fact that they can take support in their linguistic acquisitions in different languages, by virtue of lexis similarity, the FFL teacher will cultivate his students’ openness towards the practice of permanently reinvesting their lexical knowledge from one language to another.
