Abstract: | The role of linguistics in terminology is significant, because the linguistic analysis helps us to make an individual or a comparative analysis of the new emerging terminologies, such as the e- commerce terminology. The e-commerce terminology is not a scientific terminology, but a professional one, being established by those interested in the new type of commerce – electronic commerce – and its international use justify the presence of the English loans. The analysis herein is undertaken in order to outline both the general aspects of the e-commerce terminology and its specific. Thus, in order to establish the peculiarities of this terminology, the linguistic analysis is very useful and it consists of applying unitary methods for the linguistic description of this professional terminology. |
