Abstract:[Poetic Enunciation. The Reported Speech in the Romanian Poetry of the Eighties] Dialogization in the poetry of the eighties shows preference for real or imaginary RDD, for the fake RD (in the interior monologue), for the symmetry of adjacency pairs, for stereotyping reporting verbs, for suppressing graphic signs. In the condensed space of the poem, discursive heterogeneity reconfigures and semantically decentres the subject of enunciation. Reported discourse, as an instance of quoting, sets up the illusion of reality and relativity, thus allowing the quoting speaker to distance himself and not assume the quoted point of view. In the subversive poetry of the ‘80’s promotion, mocking totalitarian behaviours and clichés represents a compulsory connotation.
The clash of voices in the flux of RD induces a turn in the text’s ontology; this is just another argument to counteract Bakhtin’s thesis (according to him, poetry, as opposed to the novel’s polyphony, is a single-voiced discourse) and to re-establish the place of poetry on the pragmatic map of dialogism and polyphony.
