Abstract:[The Specific of Marketing Terminology from the Perspective of Terminological Definition] The language of marketing is a specialised language characterised by a strong interdisciplinarity. Thus, one of our main concerns is to identify and indicate its specificity on various levels. In this paper the level we study is the terminological definition and the mechanisms through which it manages to render the specialised meaning of marketing. The analysis will focus on the three essential elements of an accurate definitional description: field, generic element and distinctive traits. It will also show the way in which each of these elements contribute to identifying and delimiting the specialised meaning of marketing.
