Abstract:[Anthroponymic microsystems. Surnames derived from names of wild animals]
The surnames presented in this paper are based on bynames derived from nicknames. These were active in the 19th century and existed as unofficial surnames. What is specific to them is that they convey to us phonetic and dialectal characteristics or some forms of orthographic rules imposed throughout time. Upon analysing the list of surnames originating in nicknames derived from names of wild animals, we notice that, by their very existence, they convey features identified in certain people.
Key words:anthroponymic microsystem, surname, byname, nickname
