| Abstract: | [Remarks on multilingual dictionaries of linguistic terms] Multilingual dictionary species has been very cultivated in Romanian Lexicography since the first half of the twentieth century, in particular regarding the terminologies of different scientific and cultural domains. Particularly useful tool for specialists, the polyglot dictionary is given, in general, little attention in lexicographical analysis. We note the existence of two multilingual dictionaries of linguistic terms very little known, issued in the same year (1978), by university initiative, with reduced circulation due to the typed format, and not mentioned in the bibliography of the main monolingual dictionaries of linguistic terminology. This article is devoted to: Dicționar poliglot de termeni lingvistici, developed at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Bucharest, and Dicționar de terminologie lingvistică: român – englez – francez – rus, developed at the Faculty of Philology of the “Babes Bolyai” University of Cluj. Comparative evaluation of the two works by criteria such as: list of terms and concepts, descriptive approach, organizing dictionary, source and target languages, manner indexing, wants to be a benchmark for analyzing the value of multilingual terminographies. |
