Abstract:The present article identifies the methods through which pathos is realized in a political discourse. We analyzed a Romanian political statement delivered in the Parliament. In this study, two types of emotion are identified according to the Friedrich Ungerer’s classification (Ungerer 1997): descriptive emotion and invoked emotion.
