Abstract:
Aromanian is the only Romanian dialect that has developed a cult literature. The Aromanian dialect used two alphabets: Greek and Latin. The first Aromanian texts, dating from the eighteenth century, are written in the Greek alphabet. The Aromanian dialect used largely combinations of letters and a much lesser extent the diacritical marks, overlapping written or accompanying letter in order to adapt the Greek alphabet to its Romance phonetic form.
