Abstract:The dream, dream circumstances, dreamy atmosphere and their particular, particularized aspects as a result of being awake and especially as a literature experience in Rilke’s novel are further analyzed in this paper. Rilke’s, for that period of time, new, modern way of writing a novel is highlighted by comparing different sort of novels and by attributing them personalized pictures – pictogram symbols. It demonstrates that Rilke’s dream is not like Freud’s dream, even if both dreams are about wishes. It also shows Rilke in a mirror with contemporary writers like Herta Müller, Salman Rushdie, Radu Popescu. Rilke has the threat of fear in common with Herta Müller. Salman Rushdie comes with its magic, dreamy atmosphere and with the dream as literature experience. Petru Popescu speaks also about his dream of freedom.
