  • The etymology of words points out facts, events and customs of the world’s culture. The word asasin/assassin refers to a moment in the history of the Muslim fundamentalists, to ancient customs almost a thousand years old related to the education of the members of the assassins’ sect. The term entered the collective human conscience, acquiring mainly a political connotation.
  • L’étymologie des mots relève des faits, des évènements, des pratiques de la culture de l’humanité. Dans ce cas, le mot asasin/assassin a trait à un moment de l’histoire des fondamentalistes musulmans, aux pratiques anciennes depuis environ mils ans, pour l’éducation des membres de la secte des Assassins. Ce terme est entré dans la conscience de l’humanité et a reçu une connotation principalement politique.
