The article focuses on the difficulties encountered when making a proper name dictionary whose organization, principles and rules must be distinct from those governing the lexicon. The author discusses the structure of a historic dictionary of Romanian anthroponymy, a project which is achievable considering the rich tradition in the domain of Romanian proper name research.
L’article présente les difficultés de l’élaboration des dictionnaires des noms propres, dont l’organisation, les principes et les règles doivent être distincts de ceux qui traitent le lexique. On discute la structure d’un dictionnaire historique de l’anthroponymie roumaine, projet encore réalisable dans le contexte d’une riche tradition de la recherche sur les noms propres roumains.
