Abstract:The aim of this paper is to find out whether the four phases of the creative process during euphemism translation is being supported by the so called protocols of loud thinking (LD- Dialogprotokolle). An extensive corpus of texts has been used to provide material for the analysis of the 4 phases of creative translation on the basis of the theoretical input of creativity.The author also discusses various aspects of translativity in general, as well as alternative translation procedures. Another aim of the paper is to present the differences regarding the target language and target readers that occur during euphemism translation.
