Abstract:[Eastern Latinity. Historical and linguistic aspects]
The concept of “Eastern Latinity”, like that of “Latinity”, in general, is an ideal concept/a mental construct, based on realities which are in permanent transformation, in every aspect defining it: historical, geographic, political, military, administrative, juridical, ethnical, linguistic or cultural.
In this study, we aim to provide a synthesis of the most significant phonetic, grammatical and lexical-semantic particularities of Vulgar Latin in the area known as the Pars Orientis during the Antiquity.
Key words:Latinity, Pars Orientis, phonetics, morphology, vocabulary
