Abstract:The paper explores the idea that, in Job 10, 11b, the original text creates the notion of a strong body, that comes – to some extent – in contradiction with the more general biblical notion of the fragility of the human body made out of dust. If so, a more appropriate translation into Romanian would be that from B 1688, in which the Rom. verb a încleșta [Engl., lit. „to hold as with pliers’; cf. “(Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh) and hast fenced me with bones and sinews”, KJV] is used (cf. Gr. ἐνείρω), instead of a țese (Engl., lit. „to weave’).
