| Abstract: | In this paper, we would like to reveal the manner in which the linguistic imagery (deeply rooted in the cultural imagery) shaped around the French language – and generally seen as associated with Catholicism – individuates and enforces this terminology. Its use is motivated by normative connections that contribute to the valorization of the French linguistic imagery that can express a rich and diverse array of confessional and doctrinal realities of the French orthodoxy. |
