| Abstract: | Unlike the writings of the his forerunners, the prefaces and pastorals of Veniamin Costachi, although written, give the impression of speeches delivered from the pulpit. Besides the occurences of some phenomena characteristic to the spoken language, we also encounter the fragmentary use of dialogue, the imagined dialogue with the reader and the polemic confrontation with the „opponent” by anticipating his possible objections. |
