Abstract:[Aspects of the Changes Occurred within the Toponymic Fields]
The author started his research from the efforts of Dragoş Moldovanu to create “a theory of the toponymic fields, envisaged as a dynamic reality, whose components, regardless of their rank in the field, have a temporary stability in time” and from the statement of the same linguist that diachrony, in the toponymic research, means, on one hand the analysis in time of the changes occurred in the denominative function and, on the other hand, the study of the relations established subsequently between the main toponym and other ones designating the components of a geographic or socio-geographic complexe. Taking into consideration the fact that it is also difficult to discriminate between the internal causes and the exterior ones of the changes occuring in the evolution of the toponymic fields, besides, it is as difficult to dissociate, within the category of inner causes, between the alteration of the relation of designation and the changes referring to the relationships between the field components, the study suggests only a list of different categories of phenomena related to the problem of the creation and the evolution of toponymic fields.
Key words:toponymic field, evolution, diachrony, toponymic interference, toponymic dynamics
