[About Auxiliary Verbs and Pronominal Clitic Inversion] This paper analyses two syntactic phenomena, clitic enclisis (between the auxiliary and the lexical verb) and auxiliary inversion, in the evolution of Romanian. The two phenomena are present in old Romanian and also in other old Romance varieties. This article aims to show that the phenomena are present also after the 17th century, in specific writings, like carols and charms, but also in some texts collected by dialectologists. These writings present peculiar properties that make possible the auxiliary verb inversion and the pronominal enclisis.
